How do you to get to TMT?
Target Margin is two blocks from the R train at 53rd Street, and a ten minute walk from the ferry. Full directions are on our Visit Us page.
I’m on 52nd street between 2nd and 3rd. Where’s the theater?
We are behind the big bright yellow garage door!
Why no sign out front?
We’re going for a speakeasy vibe. Or maybe we’re just lazy?
Is the theater ADA accessible?
The Doxsee Theater is accessible but our upstairs office and studios are not. See Visit Us for more information.
Is the local subway ADA accessible?
The 53rd Street station is not ADA accessible. There are two staircases to the train platform. The bus is an alternative for those who are mobility challenged. The B11 to Midwood stops on the block. The B37 goes straight down 3rd Avenue from Atlantic Avenue and stops at 53rd Street and 3rd Avenue, one block away.
Is the neighborhood safe?
We are in an industrial area but the neighborhood is actually quite safe. Just be careful if you’re on a bike along 3rd Avenue; there’s a lot of trucks, especially during the day.
Are there any good places to eat around TMT?
Tons. Sunset Park is an incredible neighborhood for food. We’ve listed a few of our go-to favorites on our Visit Us page.
Ticketing Questions
Are there ticket discounts?
Yes! TMT regularly offers discounts to our eblast subscribers and social media followers. Subscribe and follow us to be the first to access them!
What is a TMT Member?
TMT Members pay an annual subscriber fee for a season ticket package and access to a number of Member-Only perks including first access to tickets, priority seating, invited rehearsals, workshop presentations closed to the general public, parties, and more!
What is your ticket refund policy?
TMT does not offer ticket refunds or exchanges. Depending on availability, we are happy to move your tickets if the request is made no later than 48 hours prior to the original show time. Write us at info@targetmargin.org or call us at 718.398.3095 if you need us to move your tickets.

Are you hiring?
We are a very small organization and we generally don’t do that much hiring, but the staff does turn over on occasion. We also offer paid internships in the Fall and Spring. See Work With Us for our current needs.
How do I become a Lab Artist / Artist in Residence / Institute Fellow?

Can I audition?
Every year we have EPAs and you are also welcome to send a resume to David Herskovits at info@targetmargin.org
Does TMT accept play submissions?
We love seeing and reading people’s work, but we do not produce submitted plays.
Can I rent the space? How much?
Our two studios and the Doxsee Theater are all available for rent. Check out Space Rentals for details.
Are there rental discounts?
Reduced rates for non-profits and individual artists “non-profit in spirit” are available upon request. Write to our Space Manager, Matt Hunter, at space@targetmargin.org
